Well worth the price.

I bought this kukri with very low expectations. Out of the box I was surprised by the weight and thickness of the blade. The handle is made of black bone and the blade is hand etched INDIA above the hilt, the handle is very short which is my main complaint about this kukri. It comes basically unsharpened but after a few minutes with a stone it started to take a good edge. I can't comment about about edge retention or steel durability but it feels like a very solid knife, and for the price it's a steal. Also sarco shipping was extremely quick.

I need something with more heft and bite than my machette could deliver. This Kikris had the right blade length and, for the price, I thought "Why not give it a try." The blade came unsharpened. Nice heft and a good amount of weight. (I am glad I did not order the 24" inch model. I believe it would have been too heavy.) This is a good quality edged weapon. Sharpened, it is deadly. With its weight and edge it makes short work of small trees and brush. I would not want to be on the receiving end of this knife. Well worth the money.
