Traditional Katara (long sword). The hilt is decorated brass and the Tsuba (guard) is also decorated brass and is pierced as part of the decoration. The handle is wood covered with simulated shark skin and bound in cotton. TUSKA-ITO. The scabbard is simulated woven pattern cover. The blade is 29", and  39" overall.
